The Medical Council aims to protect patients’ rights and safety, ensuring public health by upholding medical standards and professional integrity. Its functions, outlined in the Health Care Professions Act 2003, comply with EU Directive 2005/36/EC, focusing on maintaining healthcare excellence and regulatory compliance.

The Medical Council will be relocating its offices during the week starting 6 July 2026. During the period up to Friday 10 July, access to in-person services may be limited, and the public is kindly requested to reschedule visits for a later date.

All communication is therefore encouraged to be conducted via email ([email protected]). Should an in-person meeting be necessary, please ensure that an appointment is arranged in advance.
